Our research contributes to solutions to important society challenges such as antibiotic resistance, food safety and lifestyle diseases. We develop animal models, which are used to improve animal welfare and treatment and prevention of diseases for both animals and humans. Our department comprises of five sections described below.
performs research on food safety from producer to consumer.
performs research on prevention and control of parasitic diseases and other infectous diseases for humans and animals including fish.
- works with alternatives to antibiotics, researches in development of vaccines and other remedies for control and prevention of bacterial infections in animals.
studies all aspects of the development of models for human and veterinary diseases in mammals.
performs research in the molecular mechanisms, which determine disease progression especially in relation to cancer.
